A Haiku
Rustle, ping! patter!
bushy tail, treetop chatter
hail down little nut
We just moved into a new house this past summer. It has an almighty oak in the back and a hickory in the front. As we move into fall, I can hear the sweet rain of acorns in the back, pecans in the front. Squirrels can be heard chattering above and then a hail storm of nuts. I guess you could say we live in a nuthouse!
